Description
This wonderful property, built next to the ruins of an abbey dating back to the XII century, consists of a housing part (the house) of about 623sqm, currently it is used in part as a flat for touristic purposes, and of a useful part for the Wine Company of approximately 795sqm divided between the basement, shed and tasting room. The living quarters (The Farmhouse) presents particular and characteristic horseshoe shape and has been lovingly and carefully restored by the current owners, who have used a wing of the farmhouse accommodation, while they live in the remaining part.
Private estate – On the ground floor, there is the spacious bright living room with fireplace, dining room, kitchen with central island and direct access to the pergola overlooking the vineyards, a pantry, study and bathroom. State and finishes
The main building and outbuildings that create the court are characterized by exterior stone walls, beamed ceilings and terracotta tiles, or in old vaulted, terracotta floors, fixtures in light chestnut, sidewalks and arcades paved with local stone (original from the period of construction). The buildings cover is typical and original in antique tiles, the angles of the main building are of travertine stone. The heating is under-floor and is powered by GPL; the property is supplied by municipal water and from a well. The electrical, heating and water systems are in excellent condition.
Potential use
This magnificent property can be used as a main residence and as a receptive and agricultural activity, thanks to the cultures being exploited. The winery could be "enhanced", increasing the wine and olive oil sales.
Currently, the winery produces about 26,000 bottles of red wine "I.G.T. Toscana Rosso" and about 3,000 bottles of "I.G.T. white wine White Tuscan ". Planting density: 7,300 plants per hectare.
