The region of Salvan-Les Marécottes is a wonderful mix of nature, culture and sports. Skiing, museum, hiking, zoo, it offers a wide range of activities in all seasons and for the whole family.
Accessible by road after crossing the impressive Gueuroz bridge, or by rail with the Mont-Blanc Express, the town of Salvan and the villages that make it up (Les Granges, Les Marécottes, Le Trétien, La Creusaz) are a corner of paradise for all mountain lovers.
In winter, the tourist resort of Les Marécottes offers 25 km of ski slopes, served by a gondola, a chairlift and a ski lift. There is also a swimming pool carved into the rock, surrounded by a zoological park. An extensive network of footpaths connects the resort to the surrounding villages and allows you to explore the Trient and Tête Noire gorges.
The village is on the route of the Mont-Blanc Express tourist railway which connects Martigny to Chamonix. The altitude of the ski area as well as its location offer abundant natural snow cover. A 7.5 km toboggan run completes the offer. The gondola is in operation every day during the summer period in July and August.
